When Mondrian made his paintings, he would always mix his own colours and never use the paint directly out of a tube. He often used primary colours - red, yellow and blue to keep his paintings pure and simple.

In 1961 Andy Warhol came up with the idea of using popular items in his art. He called it Pop Art. He would use pictures of these common items and their colours. Andy used bright, contrasting colours in his art.

Athletics

 Last Friday our school did athletics at the field. Our teachers told us that we were gonna be with another teacher. All of the girls in room 19 were going to be with Miss Willson. As we got to the junior court we all went in our group with Miss Willson.

As everyone in our school came to the court we all had a pray and the principal told us somethings we had to do. When we got to stand up I was excited and nervous at the same time because we were going to start doing athletics. Our first athletics sport for the day was soft ball. I was so thrilled because I wanted to play other sports. 

After playing some of the fun sports we had morning-tea. After eating and playing outside we all went back doing athletics. Our final game was splittings, we had six rounds for splittings. For the first round we had a race with all the girls in our group. I came 2nd for the first round. When we had the semi finals I came 7th  so that meant I wasn't in the finals. The winners were Taisha 1st, Aniqua 2nd, Victoria 3rd, so they were the winners. As we had lunchtime we all had the finals for the 5-8. Finally we all went to the park and played Elemaniton tag. After that we all got our bag and went home. My favourite athletics sport was splittings.

Calvin and Hobbes Punctuation L2

 Calvin and Hobbes were lying in bed when Calvin suddenly sits up. "Any monsters under my bed tonight?!" He screams. "No, nope, uh-uh". Come the ghostly whispers from under the bed. "Well, there'd better not be. I'd hate to have to torch one of you with my flamethrower!" Shouting Calvin standing on the edge of his bed. "You have a flamethrower?" Hobbes asks aseptically. "They lie, I lie" Whispers Calvin from under his covers. "Wanna see something weird"? Calvin asks Hobbes while standing in the kitchen. "Watch. You put this bread in the slot and push the down the lever". Says Calvin while putting his bread in the toaster. "Then in a few minutes, toast pops up!" The toasted bread flies up into the air and Calvin shouts. "Wow, where does the bread go?" Ask Hobbes. "Beats me, isn't that weird?" Replies Calvin.
