Athletics

 Last Friday our school did athletics at the field. Our teachers told us that we were gonna be with another teacher. All of the girls in room 19 were going to be with Miss Willson. As we got to the junior court we all went in our group with Miss Willson.

As everyone in our school came to the court we all had a pray and the principal told us somethings we had to do. When we got to stand up I was excited and nervous at the same time because we were going to start doing athletics. Our first athletics sport for the day was soft ball. I was so thrilled because I wanted to play other sports. 

After playing some of the fun sports we had morning-tea. After eating and playing outside we all went back doing athletics. Our final game was splittings, we had six rounds for splittings. For the first round we had a race with all the girls in our group. I came 2nd for the first round. When we had the semi finals I came 7th  so that meant I wasn't in the finals. The winners were Taisha 1st, Aniqua 2nd, Victoria 3rd, so they were the winners. As we had lunchtime we all had the finals for the 5-8. Finally we all went to the park and played Elemaniton tag. After that we all got our bag and went home. My favourite athletics sport was splittings.

Boxing

 

Excitedly, my class and I went to the hall for kiwi-sport. As we all sat down we all saw boxing gloves placed on the floor nicely. Our coach is Pax. As coach Pax told us the instruction how to put on the boxing gloves. We all went to put on the liners on our hands. 

Then we all put on our boxing gloves on. As we stood up we all went in line in the middle of the hall. We all got a partner. As we started to warm up coach Pax told us that the person in front of the line was the boxers and the person at the back of the line is the coach. My buddies name is Victoria, Victoria was the front of the line so she is the boxer and I am the coach.

After that we learned how to punch and stand. We call the left punch jab and the right punch cross, we also call the standing wall. When we punch with the right hand we twist our right feet. And also the wall, when we are doing the wall we put our right foot at the back and bend our knees, and also put our closed hands under-neath our eyes. Finally we took off our boxing gloves and liner and put them on the floor. We all got in line and went to class happy.

Garfield and Jon dash excitedly for the delicious hot dog. "Ha! I beat you to it". Exclaims Jon as their hands reach for the hot dog at the same time.  "Uh, Garfield would you mind taking your claw out of my hand?" Asks Jon clearly in pain. "Give me a good reason". Replies Garfield hoping to win the yummy treat. Jon and Garfield are standing together outside a mouse hole. "You are a cat!" Jon angrily shouts at Garfield. "That is a mouse!" Insists Jon pointing to a small mouse sticking his head out of his house. "Pleased to meet you". Says Garfield shaking the mouse's hand while poor Jon hits his head in despair.

Heads Or Tails

 On a cloudy morning we were going to play outside, but as we all put our shoes on and lined up it started to rain. We all went inside class and Mrs King had an idea what game we were going to play. The game was head or tails. Mrs King told us it was going to be a silent game. As Mrs King finished her instruction we all stood up and got ready to play. As we started the game Mrs King gave us 5 seconds to do heads or tails. Me and my friends did heads and some people did tails. As Mrs King tossed the coin I got so nervous. The coin land on the tails, I sat cause i lost. The winners was Hokule'a and Hikianalia. I felt happy to learn a new game.
