Mondrian

When Mondrian made his paintings, he would always mix his own colours and never use the paint directly out of a tube. He often used primary colours - red, yellow and blue to keep his paintings pure and simple.

Pop Art

In 1961 Andy Warhol came up with the idea of using popular items in his art. He called it Pop Art. He would use pictures of these common items and their colours. Andy used bright, contrasting colours in his art.

 Kandinsky thought that shapes and colours by themselves were art. He felt that he could express feelings and music through colours and shapes in his paintings. He thought that yellow sounded like a trumpet and that some colours put together could sound like a piano.

Charlie replies while Lucy walks off "Thank you" Exclaims Lucy as the ball hits her in the head. Lucy and Linus are watching TV late one night. "I thought you were going to study for a history test". Lucy says to Linus. "I don't have to... I'm just going to put the book under my pillow". Replies Linus as he heads off to bed. Linus places the book under his pillow and says to himself. "During the night, the answers will seep upward through the pillow and into my head". Linus snuggles down under the covers and whispers. "I hope!"

Cross Country Practice

On a cloudy morning my class and I also the year 3s class went for a cross country practice walk around the field. As we got to the playground Miss King told us a little instruction about not ruining the line. We all started to walk to a gate, some people were so confused where we were walking. As Miss king opened the gate we all went through and began walking. When I saw a lot of flags Miss King told us to go around them. Me and my friend Aniqua was singing a song and dancing while we were walking. As we got to the gate we saw the year fives playing NFL so we all went to a side where we wont annoy them. As we almost got to the end I was full with Joy.

"We can set up a tent next in the refrigerator". Garfield continues eagerly. Jon screams as giant meatball rolls across the table towards him. "Save me! It's a giant meatball from outer space!" Garfield and Jon stare wearily at their morning coffee. "My iced coffee is cold". Says Jon feeling so confused. "Duh, Jon". Quips Garfield. Garfield waits patiently for Jon to realise what he has said. "And there's is in it" Jon questions, Garfield slams his face down onto the table in despair. Garfield is lying asleep on the table while Jon grasps his morning coffee . "We should do something". Jon suggest wearily. As he turns away, Garfield replies. "Yes we should".
